The Town: Nazareth: A Town in Northern Israel recorded as the childhood home of Jesus. At that time this small town had an estimated 400 people; and today it boasts of over 75000 and more.
The History: Natsrat as its name is pronounced in Hebrew, is the cradle of Christianity, the city where Angel Gabriel visited Mary and informed her that she would conceive by the power of the Holy Spirit. It is also the town where Lord Jesus spent His childhood and youth.
Nazareth is located in the heart of a valley in Lower Galilee, surrounded by mountains that embrace several of the most important Christian sites in the world. This is a city of significance not only for religion and faith or of spirituality and holiness, but also a city with a rich history, fascinating archaeology, modern culture and a Middle Eastern charm.
The Significance: This is also a city that prove the Jaded words of Nathanael in John 1:46 “can any good thing come from Nazareth” wrong.
